How to Wash Your Bald Head in Space | Luca Parmitano | ISS Astronaut HD Video

Pretty much anyone would change the channel if a show about some bald guy washing his head came on.

There aren’t really that many ways to make that concept interesting.

And if there is indeed a market for such a show, you probably wouldn't want to meet the kind of people that would DVR it.

You might be asking yourself why on earth a video like this would have so many views, and the answer is quite simple: This guy is an astronaut, and the video was taken inside of the International Space Station.

Being in outer space is something that a tiny percentage of human beings will ever be able to experience. Growing up, kids are told that they can be whatever they want to be, and that any profession is attainable. However, although half
the children ever born would have sworn on their life that they would be an astronaut, actually getting to that level is quite a different story. It takes so much money, time, and effort to send people up there that only an elite and fortunate few have ever made the journey.

With this being said, people on earth don’t really have any way of knowing how things work in space. Sure, there are movie depictions, but you should probably know by now that Hollywood specializes in the art of exaggeration. Just because things float around all Disney-style in movies doesn’t mean they do in real life. And when it comes to liquids, would they just fly all over the place in little droplets?

Well, this video alone should answer a lot of the questions you have about the effects of gravity, or lack thereof, in outer space. He squirts water onto his head, and it all conglomerates into this one big blob of liquid. It’s pretty crazy to watch it move and wiggle, and you might be surprised that it actually sticks together instead of flying around in every direction. It looks so weird, and you can’t help but stare at it. What a sick video!
