Christopher Rivera Dead boxer propped up in makeshift ring for his wake in Puerto Rico

A professional boxer received an unusual send off after his dead body was propped up in a makeshift ring.

Christopher Rivera, 23, had told relatives he wanted to be remembered for his boxing career so they decided to create a thematic wake for him.
Marin Funeral Home helped to set up a model boxing ring in a San Juan public housing complex in Puerto Rico.

The vice president of the company Elsie Rodriguez said it took them several hours to modify the location.
The body of Rivera was then propped up in one of the corners of the ring, fully dressed in a yellow-and-black boxing uniform and wearing sunglasses and boxing gloves.
His family and friends were then able to take pictures with his corpse.
Rivera was shot dead on January 26 in the Puerto Rican city of Santurce but, as yet, no one has been arrested in connection with the murder.
