Cops seek man who punched hapless woman riding 7 train

The suspect, captured clocking the woman with a rider's cellphone, is described as a slim, but muscular white or Hispanic male with a pony tail.

Cops are looking for a pony-tailed bruiser who cold-clocked a woman on a Queens-bound 7 train — even though the victim never reported the crime, officials said Saturday. Police are hoping a video recorded on a straphanger’s cell phone to will help them identify the assailant as well as the black woman he punched during the May 5 assault as the train rumbled toward the 69th St./Roosevelt Ave. stop in Woodside. The video was handed over to police Friday, officials said. The attacker is described as a lean but muscular 5’9” white or Hispanic man sporting a black T-shirt and long black hair in a pony tail. He’s seen watching the train doors at 1 a.m. before he tenses up, punches an unidentified woman in the face, and runs away, officials said.Courtesy DCPI Cops are looking for a pony-tailed bruiser who cold-clocked a woman on a Queens-bound 7 train — even though the victim never reported the crime, officials said Saturday.
