Former "Sesame Street" puppeteer
Kevin Clash has been hit with a lawsuit accusing him of luring an underage boy
into drug-fueled sex sessions
The man behind the beloved
character Elmo is being sued by Sheldon Stephens, who claims he became involved
in a sexual relationship with Clash after meeting the star at an actor's
function when he was just 16 years old. According to NBC News, a press release
sent by Stephens' attorney, Jeff Herman, states that the complaint includes
accusations that Clash and Stephens began having sexual intercourse shortly
thereafter.
Stephens alleges Clash smoked
crystal meth during their intimate meetings, and also gave the teen amyl nitrate
to enhance their sexual relations. According to TMZ, Stephens' complaint also accuses Clash's unidentified
limousine chauffeur of performing a sex act while watching them getting
intimate.
Stephens previously recanted his
account after reaching a settlement with Clash, but TMZ editors report he turned
his back on the agreement because it required him to admit he made up the
allegations. Stephens is now suing because the settlement money was never paid,
reports TMZ.
