The Knicks confirmed Monday that Jeremy Lin had undergone successful surgery to repair the meniscus in his left knee Monday at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.

The team said he would be out approximately six weeks.
Lin posted a picture of himself in what looked like a hospital bed on Facebook around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

He also posted the message: “Praise God for a successful surgery! Now on the road to recovery! Lets gooo. Much love to all the fans for your support and kind words.”
Lin, who started 25 games this season, was averaging 14.6 points and 6.1 assists. The rehabilitation from the surgery would keep Lin off the court through the end of the season on April 26, and possibly through the playoffs.
